When I roll my driver or passenger windows down they are sticking. It is worse on the drivers side where sometimes it will actually get stuck and wont go down unless I get something thin and run it along the rubber near the top of the door and window. I tried cleaning the window and the rubber part and that works fine for a little while then it starts to stick again. I have brought my car to the dealer and all they said that it is tree sap and that I should clean it but I do clean it and it keeps coming back and for some reason out of 3 cars this is the only one that is having this problem so I really doubt it is tree sap. Anyone one know how to remove what ever is causing the window to stick?

I am not sure if I am clear about the issue I am having. This has nothing to do with the motor or the glass not moving correctly what is happening is the top of the window is sticking to the rubber of the top of the door when it is all the way up. Tom C has the right idea but I don't think baby powder is going to be a long term solution.

your problem is dry window channels, take the door panels off and the deflector water paper and get some white lithium grease and a small brush and get inside the door and coat the front and back window tracks really good with the grease all the way up and down inside the tracks and take WD-40 and spray all the regulator workings good and roll the window up and down a few times to work the grease in good and put everything back together and your all set.

OK without seeing the car and from your description it may be worth trying this:- Is the window trying to come up but then going back down again? Electric windows on cars have a safety mechanism so they dont cause injury if a child has stuck their arm out. What can happen is that the tracks dry out and provide too much resistance. Try lubricating front and rear guides, the felt bits, with water or water with small amount of washing up liquid, then try again. This assumes the other windows are working fine. For a more long lasting solution spray these tracks with a silicon lubricant and it should prevent it happening again for some months. This worked with my Mitsubishi Warrior. Cheers Dave

Get a dremmel motor tool with the grinding attachment and stick that into the track/slot that holds the glass in place and grind out the plastic in there so that the glass has extra room to slide.

Your problem is that the rubber seals are starting to rot and melt. Probably due to quick changes in temperatures.
A quick fix is to dust them with Talcum powder (baby powder). Just sprinkle them on the windows and roll them a few times up and down.

If you roll down your windows and put silicone gell in the front and rear window tracks that will correct your sticking and last for a long time.
