no, i used to be a bank teller. you need the serial number from both halves to be able to exchange it. they will let you turn it in.

If u tell them how it happened and don't lie about it they will believe you plus they have 2 give you the money bak its the law!!!
Just go to the bank and tell them that your $20 got ripped in half or whatever happened 2 it.
Does'nt matter they have 2 let u exchange it anyway Law!!

You need to have at least 75% of the bill in order to exchange it. They will not exchange half.

I don't think they will change it for a new one...unless you have both pieces. Because it doesn't work that way.You could always try and see what happens.
