Many people confuse lust with love or love with lust.
I, myself can't know either if I do love that person or just lust him. I think I love him but.. I do lust him too.
I'm just so confused. At the same time, I am not sure if he loves me too like he says he does.
What is that very key words that you can describe to me the differences between them?
Thank you.

Lust is when you are physically attracted to someone.
Love is a set of different types of attraction, which often consists of lust and dependence. It can also include financial and practical concerns. Most people pretend there is a supernatural component, but most love fades over time proving them wrong. For this reason, love takes work to maintain. Most people find the effort of maintaining it to be far more than the effort of finding someone new, which brings up another one of the types of attraction that can make up love. Novelty. In fact, it's one of the most important to understand. For many people lust and novelty are enough for them to start pretending that supernatural aspect exists, even if they are already theorhetically in love with someone else.
Youth often require less of the combined types of attraction than adults, and are less discretionary regarding weather the other party feels those same attractions.
Because the supernatural component is bunk, any two people who are sufficiently motivated can make love work. No matter how else they feel. However, most people find this distasteful and prefer to pretend the supernatural component exists, essentially leaving things up to chance. Many of these people find themselves in unhappy situations, but many of them end up happy as well. Proponents of this way of doing things often think of this as a benefit as they think it means love is more rare and therefore more valuable. If they only knew they could make it happen if they really wanted it to.

Lust is more of an attraction. Sex, physical, thoughts??? Love is a feeling, a sacrifice, the willingness to give your all at no cost. The heart to look beyond a persons imperfections, and still be in love with them for the person that they are. Lust is not an emotion it has no bounds, lust is a frequent reaction that changes rapidly from individual to individual.

Good question. I would say that lust eventually turns into love. The only way to know if it's love is to make some kind of commitment.

Lust is biological and sexual. It means you think someone is attractive. It means you think they are hot. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy to think about them. It means you probably have created an "ideal" of what that person is like, but you really don't know... but you like them anyway.
Love is more than that. Lust can be a part of it... but it doesn't have to be. If you really love someone, you will know them. You will understand them. You will know what is WRONG with the person, and you won't care. You will want to be with them, no matter what. Sometimes you won't feel very strongly toward them, and yet you'll still want to be with that person forever. You respect that person. You honor that person. You accept them as they are. Love means you CARE about someone deeply, even more than you care about yourself. And it is usually, and often best, reciprocal. That means the other person feels the same way. Not that you can't really love someone who does not love you back, but that kind of love is often harmful.
Here's one possible test, if you can really do it, that could show the difference between love and lust. Imagine the person you "love" has been mutilated in a fiery accident. They are permanently scarred in their face, lost a leg, their skin is red, and you may have to clean their oozing wounds for the rest of your days. Do you still want to be with them forever?
Imaginations are strong, so this "test" does not prove anything. You can apply concepts of "love" to the scenario just to try to prove you love the person when you don't. You can't really know the answer until it happens. But I think the basic concept behind the "test" illustrates what love is really about. Hope that helps.

You can lust someone you love, but you can't truly love someone you just lust over...Lust is mostly a physical attraction, whereas love, you take the whole package!!!!

Lust = physical; love = emotional. They are not mutually exclusive, in other words, you can have one without the other, but both are much more fun together.

Lust is more about just being Physical its like that buddy that you really like to do it with but cant see yourself with long term. Its when you can have wild hot s.e.x and then can take a shower and leave without worry.
