I say the Yankees still need to do more that 8 Games Red Sox lead, when the Yankees are 3 games Behind then I'll start to worry I'm not Concerned right now, I know there's going to be a Point in this Season that the Yankees will fall so let's not get carried Away.

Wow, I feel really sad for this Yankee fan. Actually getting excited, because they won and the Sox lost, which results with them only 8 games back. I think you were 8 or 9 games back last month as well?? How did that turn out? Yup, you fell 10 to 11 games back again. See, this is what you call a long season. You will have ups when we have downs and vice versa. As everyone has pointed out, this statement is why we can't stand some Yankee fans (not to leave out that there are plenty of idiot Sox fans as well), but to also point out, it was nice to see some intelligent Yankee fans on here as well. Kudos to you.

This is a terrible post. They are only three games above .500, although they're playing well now. They're playing scrub teams, but that isn't their fault. (The Red Sox have a few on their schedule too.)
This team hasn't proved anything to this point.
It is post like this that give the good Yankee fans a bad reputation. Why can't you just respect the fact that the Sox have played well and deserve to be where they are at the moment.
I hope they catch them and win the World Series. IF that happens, then you will have something to celebrate. UNTIL then just keep rooting and hope they can go on an extended winning streak and hopefully get back in this thing.

I say it's pretty pathetic when the Yankees are celebrating being "only" 8 games back in the division. Of course there going to win a few games on days the sox lose, just like the sox will win a few games on days they lose. You might as well face it, the Yankees won't catch Boston unless there is a major collapse in Beantown.

I find it highly laughable. The Yanks, until they catch us will never be ahead of us. And to be honest, its gonna be overly hard for them to catch the Might of the Red Sox. Let me take you back to last season. The only reason Yankees beat us to the play offs, was because of several key injuries. Now the shoes on the other foot, they dont like it much and want to find any exuse possible. And of course they will go on a small tear, they playing teams way below .500 whereas Boston are playign teams that will be contending for a spot in the post season.
Dumb Yankee Fans! Get over yourselves.

i agree and dont forget the yankees are still gonna play the red sox and wipe the floor with them. plus its not like this idea of a comeback is new. the yankees were down 11 late in the season in '78 and came back to win the world series. GO YANKEES!!!

Well the Marlins are only 7.5 back so what does that say. Dude keep dreaming. The Yanks are hot now but they can't keep this up forever. Oh yea Curt schillings going to be back soon and health for the first time this season. The Sox have a relatively easy schedule and only play the Yankees 6 more times this season. Start praying for the wildcard which will be very competitive this year.

Gee, what a surprise. Another example of New York arrogance. I cant stand New Yorkers, not because of the Yankees, but because of the type of people New Yorkers are in general. This is why a lot of people have such a problem with New York. Of course, in your typical New York way, you will come back with your "their all jealous of us" routine, but the truth is that it's your attitude, arrogance, rudeness, and obnoxious behavior that turns people off.
People are Yankee haters more to do with the kind of people you are and the Yankee fans and their whole attitude, than the team itself. Until New Yorkers become more respectable people, then there will always be a Yankee Hater Nation.
By the way, I also agree with giving praise to Thomas. I don't know if your actually from New York, but you are an unusual Yankee fan. I wish their were a lot more like you.

the yankees r done this year!! They 7 games back in the wild card and the red sox will pick up again. I'm not a red sox fan and obviously not a yankee fan and I live in New england. I cant stand yankees fans, they're so ignorant and mostly dont kno anythnig about baseball, sorry i took this out on you im not saying u in perticular is ignorant but here comesa another example of a yankee fan happy becuase the yanks won and the sox lost. Talk about the yanks again after the season, lol, because THEY WILL miss the playoffs
