When healthy, Pedro Martinez is at the top of that last. Right now, Peavey, Oswalt and Zito all have very nasty curves.

When he's healthy, I think it's easily Pedro Martinez. He can go a whole game throwing fastball/curveball, and he'll buckle knees with it all day.
My other two choices would be Barry Zito and Bronson Arroyo. Zito's problem is that he has no velocity on his fastball, so batters don't have to worry about always trying to go after his curve. Arroyo is also nasty, but doesn't get much attention because of the fact he plays in a smaller market for a non-contender.

The best starter with the curveball could be Beckett, Dice-K, and Zito. For relievers I have to go with Brandon Lyon of the Diamondbacks.

i think barry zito has the nastiest curveball when he's on but when he's off he leaves the curve ball hanging butroy oswalt is always on and throws it in the 90's.

Nobody I've seen lately. Any curve ball tried has been no balled. Why can't they put the "magic square" on computer graphics so us tv punters can argue with the Umpire?

Barry Zito, unfortunately he has been struggling this year and he has been hanging his curve ball 80% of the time that's why a lot of hits has been accumulated against him......

Rich Hill, Chicago Cubs. They talk about it in ESPN the Magazine. (As cool as the "gyroball" is, the question is "who has the nastiest curveball?")
