Im looking for the name of the powder used to give the inside of a box once glued in a velvet look. I used this stuff in high school wood shop about 20 years ago. Spread glue put powder in shake and done. looks like velvet and in powder form.

It is called "flock" and the coating is "flocking". I've used it for model railroading, and also on model cars.
