Not when i'm always going over to their place like two or three times a week..i mean if we're good friends..we always visit each others homes and there is no need for a gift..we seem to be popping in and out all the time..

Not really, no. I mean first two or three times are nice, but it isn't compulsary everytime you visit unless you really feel the need. Every once in a while is nice too, it shows you care and that you appreciate being welcome into another's home... Earns browny points with the friends' parents too!
Ofcourse, there's things like parties and get together's and occasions alike where you should be bringing something like a plate of food (main, dessert or salad) or maybe a house warming gift or something like that.

Always? No. If they're serving dinner or celebrating an occasion, I usually bring a nice bottle of wine.

Depends on the friend and the occasion. But often I come baring something; if even a handful of flowers or bottle of wine.

Yes. I bring them gifts every time I see them. Thats why I have no money left to feed my family.

Well have you noticed that you "friend" may be having you over more often...LOL.I dont think it is necessary unless you are staying and extended time ...like for a vacation or something like that...now if they have you over for dinner ocassionally some fresh cut flowers or a card to say thank you will be fine.

I dont think I ever had...I come from a small town where people just show up unexpectedly and just feel free to walk in your house at any given moment...so its kinda hard to keep up with all of that around here!! lol

Usually, yes, especially if they've invited me for dinner or a party. My mother always told me not to go empty-handed to other people's houses and it's a custom I enjoy.
