I have a 1997 Dodge ram 1500. When I turn left or right I am getting a Pretty bad squeak coming from the tires (or at least it sounds like it is coming from there). I am not sure what this could be, is it wheel bearings or something else?

take it in and have your allignment checked first.Second have all brake pads checked.during the allignment check you may be told a bushing has been cracked away from a stabilizing component. The checks arent that expensive as the parts and labor of an actual job.A 97's wheel bearings should still be ok unless they were recently done wrong..

Sway bar link
tie rod ends
ball joints

My guesses are one of the 3

If I had to pick one I would go with the Sway bar link - pretty small for such a big truck, take a look for yourself.

my guess is the brake pads are at the squealers ,and they hit or rub as the wheel shifts on a turn

check the pads if you need replacement spend the extra cash and get Wagner thurmo quiet pads
there quiet and last a long time

You know, if you discuss the situation with a mechanic he won't charge you much to correct the problem because according to what you have said it sounds like a minor problem, im sure it wont be a hassle.

its hard to say without hearing it. most likely power steering component - a belt or low on power steering fluid. i suppose it could be wheel berings but you would probably hear it all the time and have drivability problems

you're properly going around corners too fast......if its not that check the power steering fluid......if its not that take it to a garage because it could be a loose bearing or belt......it'll be fine just a bit slower than usual
