if It says offical that means the person is the acutal person, like they only use it for celebrityies like Ciara, or Oprah, or Barrock that way you know that this Is the real them and not a cheep immatation.

Sorry,I don't only "Celebrities" have the word official under their avatar on this site ,also I have only seen them ask question and never answer,when a question is featured their it's at the top of the home screen on the answers page.

the "official" signs are put there by yahoo, so people know that they are the actual celebrity, and not some poser wanna-be, since there are tons of them on yahoo.
