It did it yesterday morning as well, which is the first time ever it has happened. But on the 2nd try it started just fine. I drove it to work, turned it off and restarted it and it started immediately like it always does. Worked all day, and it started first try when I left yesterday afternoon very quickly. This morning, it just constantly rolls over and will not start. The truck is a 97 Chevy S-10 4.3 V6. Battery and alternator appear to be fine as well. Any clue what might be wrong?

sounds like the starter is ok. Sounds more like the starters not getting proper power. Maybe the battery isn't taking a full charge check the water level in it if its not a maintenance free baterey. How long has it been since you had a tune-up, bad plugs can make it have a hard time starting in cold and or damp conditions.

question: What was the weather like? wet & rainy, or sunny and dry? If it was wet, check the distributor cap, it may have a hairline crack in it. If it was dry, still check the distributor cap, coil, coil wire, plug wires and plugs.

a cracked cap can go unnoticed in dry conditions, but once it rains they seem to draw the moisture.

Too little info to work with. Either no spark or no fuel. Suggest try fuel relay or modul power relay.

agree, check plugs, wires, distributor or what ever works as the distributor. also the fuel filter, it could be really dirty, i guess it could be the fuel pump, or worst case a computer component...

hopefulyl just some wires or filter or something
