I got an email that my friend was in a car/bike accident. I got the email on July 5th, he supposively had the accident on the 3rd. Everyone doubts it and so do I. I got an email from him saying that he was healed or healing quickly. I blew up on him because I figured that if he got the injuries he described, he most lilkely wouldn't be healed by now. And maybe it was a little bit because I was scared. I really was scared because my grandfather had been in an accident, too, so I didn't wat to deal with both. I told him that I was sorry to blow up on him, but I don't know what to do. I still doubt it, but if it was true, I don't think I will forgive myself. Help!

Just tell him that it seems a little far fetched, or that you have your doubts. The best thing to do is just say that you are sorry that it happened, your thankful that he is ok and hope he gets better soon, heck send him flowers even. If he plays, he'll pull another far fetched story and then you can take him for what he is, don't be the bad person, let him do that all on his own.

well first of all I want to say sorry to hear about your friend if this did happen. However, there is a reason why you are doubting this accident, whether it is that this friend has lied in the past or the story just isn't coming together. If it is the case that your friend has "told stories" in the past, then you have no reason to feel bad. You should not have to sort out the truth and lies that a true friend tells. It is plain a simple...if they tell you something happened then it should be believed, but there are people out there that lie or even exaggerate for the attention. If he was in the accident he is ok now, so I wouldn't worry about it. Whatever you do, do not blame yourself!!! Sorry to hear about your grandfather as well. Good luck!

Well, that is kind of weird. I have never doubted someone getting into a car accident. But I have always seen about it in the papers and everything if it were that bad.

Why would your friend lie about it. Go see him and see if he is healing. If he doesnt have a scratch then ask if he was making it up. Call the police department and ask if an accident happened wherever it was supposed to have happened. They will confirm it for you.

I think if you hear that your friend got an accident, you better believe it, calm down, and think of anything you can do to help him/her. It is better to find out that he/she is joking than doubting him/her and leave them without help. I think it is better to feel stupid than feel guilty is something serious do happen.

This kind of thing is serious matter, so you better tell your friend to stop this kind of joke. There are a lot of jokes out there that wont make people worry or got heart attack.

Run him over next time you see him, that's the only way you'll ever be sure.
In the meantime, look for scars/bruises - if you see none whatsoever then he's lying.

You know you friend better than we do. If he's a liar only you can tell.
