Do you think they can overcome their snobby reputation and become endearing to Americans? It's interesting how they are so revered in Britain but no one seems to like them over here. Why do you think that is?

Well, a lot of OUR athletes and celebrities are not revered in Britain, so it evens out. And plenty of their celebrities ARE successful here, especially some of their musicians and actors! Mostly no one cares about the Beckhams because they are irrelevant to us. We are not big soccer fans, and the Spice Girls are washed up has-beens. It doesn't matter that they are British. If they were America, it would be the same. It is the fact that they don't do anything that matters here that makes people not care.

Beckham was revered for his football skills but I think interest has waned for him since moving to Spain and people really don't like his wife back home. I'm English and have no desire to hear about him or his wife and I can't see why the media is getting in such a frenzy especially over Posh because she's just skanky. And what also surprises me, with all that money, why does she have awful yellow hair?

David Beckham is illiterate.I have that from reliable sources in the UK. You can tell by the way he speaks in interviews. His book was written by a ghost writer. All his wierd and wonderful hairstyles and tattoos cannot disguise the fact that the only thing he is really good at is playing football or soccer. Unfortunately, when it comes to soccer, he is past his sell by date. Despite all that, I hear he is a nice gentlemen with an eye for a beautiful girl. Anyway, we have no right to be judgmental?? We are all humans after all, aren't we?

I think everyone is just sick hearing about these rich, snobby celebrities who are overpaid as far as I'm concerned. I dont care that their house cost them $12M of that they live next to Tom & Katie, and how much his salary is gonna be when the majority of people in this country are living week to week with every bill in their households going up and paychecks are not.

I think Americans will care when they start watching soccer. I, being European, watch the soccer matches every year with the whole family, its great! But I don't think Americans will take to the stratagy of soccer... too bad, their missing out! At least my snacks will be in stock at the stores when that time comes around... unlike football season. lol!

Sorry, but your wrong, the Beckhams are not revered over here, far from it most people despise their antics, they are totally out of touch with normality, they are legends in their own lunchtime.

I don't think they will care about either of them after about 4 weeks.
However, if soccer becomes big here, Beckham could be a huge celeb here

I dont LOVE the Beckhams, and i live in England! however, i dont HATE them either, i really like Victoria, i think she is utterly beautiful! but the family i dont LOVE!
i htink they should be left alone, they get too much press in my opinion!
