Very soon.

I gained a lot of weight on it (and NO it wasn't because my appetite increased) as well as many of the other very negative side affects that usually come with the shot in a majority of women.

I'd never recommend this to anyone, ever.

I was on it for four years and I'm so glad I'm off of it.

I've been on the shot for about 1 month and havent gained any weight. Because I knew that weigh gain was a common side effect, I started exercising more and eat healthier. So far, its doing pretty good and my body is actually looking even better. As long as you exercise daily and eat healthy, then more than likely you can keep your weight under control. Alot of women want to blame their weight gain on the shot, but don't wanna do anything about it except complain. Since you know the side effects take into consideration a more healthy lifestyle and your body will be fine.

I started gaining weight right away. I started 2/07. right before my 2nd injection I lost 10 lbs, so I decided to try it again, I gained the ten back plus another ten. weight gain is only one of the side effects. I also had extreme migraines daily, insomnia, I used to go to the gym regularly and have become very fatigued and lazy, also my sex drive is next to nothing.

I talked to my dr, she said the depo shot releases the same hormones that women have when they are pregnant..this causes you to eat more. I also read somewhere that they give depo shots to male sex offenders to stop their sex drive. Anyways, I am going to start the nuvaring and never use depo again!!

Hope this helps!
