VB Program on PDA...?

I want to write a program using Visual Basic 6. Would I be able to simply install it on a PDA and use it, or is there something else I would have to do? It's just a program to keep track of things and pop up alarms, so there's nothing tied into the OS.

You can not install it on a PDA. eMbedded Visual Basic 3.0 enables applications that use the Visual Basic language for Windows mobile-based devices. However it is based on a scripting language rather than on the full-featured Visual Basic language. Therefore, many language features available in Visual Basic 6.0 for the desktop are not supported in eMbedded Visual Basic 3.0. But this is being phased out and replaced by the Visual Basic .NET language which Microsoft recommends that developers use to create all new Pocket PC applications.

If you want to skip the Microsoft route I have found Basic4ppc to be quite acceptable for non database applications and Sprint DB Pro if you are using a database. Check them out: http://www.basic4ppc.com/ and http://www.kaione.com/. You can download both for free trials.

vb6 requires runtime files that also required the operating system, so I doubt if you will find a way to get it to work on a pda. A dos basic program might work, but it won't be gui.
