They have a plan. They want to invite the terrorists to the Whitehouse to sing campfire songs and make the world a big commune where everyone in the world loves each other.

That's the problem with the media and the far left they deny that the terrorists are around the world and not just a fight against us because of our policies or being in Iraq. They extremists have been fighting for the entire world to be their radical Islam and we need to realize the fight can not be stopped or we will lose everything. The Dems need to say this but it probably will never resonate with their extreme base who want to stick their head in the sand as to the dangers our there and why we need to be in Iraq right now.

quatemoc has very valid points ... I have some thoughts that are not party exclusive:
So....they're growing stronger, what has anyone (not just one party, not just the US) done to stop that from happening. If there is a current plan, obviously it is not working. Why the is Bin Laden still out there while we diddle in a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. This country is not the world police it needs to recover it's diplomatic standing and reputation in the world.

To start with I would put the focus back on the people who attacked us on 911 and get our troops out of a civil war in Iraq that had nothing to do with 911. Are there Al Queda in Iraq? Some but not worth the 150,000+ troops we have there. The Al Queda stronghold is in Pakistan, supported by our 'friends' the Pakistan government. Also the majority of the foreign fighters in Iraq are Saudi Arabian Sunni. Seems like a good place to start would be talks with our so called friends.

I don't think either party has a REAL plan or clue. All I hear from the GOP is:
1. Stay the course
2. Be patient
3. We have to fight them there so we won't have to fight them here.
4. We can not cut and run
What is the GOP plan?

the republican president's plan to attack Iraq ( which had no connection to 9/11 ) is working well for him. He's wasting resources and personnel to fight people that had no interest in the United States. The republican solution is brilliant, keep fighting a war that is unwinnable, since the republicans haven't defined what winning is, until you run out of men and material. Stunning in it's simplicity.

Sit around the campfire and think happy thoughts.
I don't know what it is going to take for this nation to put aside the politics and face this evil head on.
That is not the main concern of the democrats they just want to bash Bush.

Haven't you read the 9/11 commission report? I believe that implementing their recommendations is a starting point.

Unfortunately, good does not ALWAYS win over evil, and sometimes there is no plan for victory, because victory cannot be achieved, regardless of effort or desire....AN ideology can never be defeated with guns and bombs..(.New World Order...Get used to it !!.)
