As a wise old woman once told me, "All men want is a safe playground to play in." Some men take this to heart, others abuse it. What I mean is, some men will marry a person for they are mother like, or feel mothered by but still act immature and leave "mom" and go out and cause issues then come home when they want to be nurtured. Others however are smart enough and mature enough to know that they married for a reason and work it out, like they are supposed to. So to answer your question straight out, NO. She is not the best, just the best thing to have at "home base."

Maybe not necessarily the best, but the fact that you go back to her may mean you find in her what you can't find in those women; something more on the terms of true love. it means he wants to have his cake and eat it too. i means he is a jerk, it means he is an adulterer. anyway you look at it, he is disrespectful to his wife and playing this game means he cares very little for his wife but he doesn't want to divorce her because he obviously erroneously believes what someone taught him as acceptable. and i would bet that he also believes that while it is alright for him to do so, she better not ever think of doing it to him. that is the moral climate this country has fallen to and this guy needs to remember that HE took the VOW first. it does not mean she is the best, because he expects her to willing suffer while he has his fun.

Ever hear the phrase, "I have cake and can eat it too?" They guy has the stability of a family/wife environment yet gets his "thrills" by sticking other women. He's a player, enjoying playing women and basically lying to his wife. What a dog.
