Traditionally, the best match is someone 60 degrees away. Karl Jung looked at charts back in the early days of psychotherapy, and he found that most married people followed this pattern. So for Taurus, that would be Cancer and Pisces (the two closest water signs). What I've noticed over the past 30 years is that long-term couples these days seem to be more homogenous. That is, they couple with someone of their own sign or element. Taurus is earth, and other earth signs are Capricorn and Virgo. So in terms of modern trends, your best match would be another Taurus, a Captricorn or a Virgo. This is interesting, because 50-100 years ago, people looked for someone to complete them, so matches of earth-water and air-fire made good sense. What is happening these days is that people are looking for someone to share their life and their interests. To achieve what feels like equality, people seem to want someone who will do half of all the same chores, half the child care, generate half the income, pay half the bills, etc. This causes us to gravitate to people who have the same qualities we have, rather than filling in our blanks. Having said all that, there are 10 planets in your chart. How these interact with the 10 planets in your partner's chart is more important than your sun signs. My son and his wife, Scorpio and Aries, have a good relationship because everything in their charts groove except their sun signs. Their water and fire does generate some steam though. Your Scorpio partner (water) is an okay match for your Taurus (earth). These are both fixed signs, though, so you probably butt heads. Find a good astrologer to have a look at your two charts. You can probably find the good things that can be built upon to strenghten your relationship. As well, a good counselor is a great asset.

What nanaj says is VERRRY interesting. Im a Taurus engaged to a Taurus guy. He's all I want and need in a mate. We have two daughters together and are very family oriented. I have dated pisces which are supposed to be great but after a while they got my nerves. Never dated a Cancer but I do find Cancer men attractive. My Taurus man understands most of my little faults because he has many of the same. And I don't have to worry about cheating because we are both completely against it

NOT another Taurus. Done it twice, had my heart broken - badly - twice. The men, generally, do not seem as faithful as Taurus women are.
Scorpio has always been my best match. Maybe trade this one in for a new one at the scorpio store?
