A traitor leaks it, traitors spread it.
They put an imaginary ideology of "We Have A Right To Know" ahead of out national security.
It's wrong. It's suicidal. Fortunately there are enough sane people saying, "NO!" that we haven't gone completely off the deep end.

Okay, stop, take a deep breath, and think about it for just a minute instead of responding in some knee-jerk fashion. Do you think this is news to the Taliban or Al Qaeda? Do you think the Taliban don't know that they've retaken half of Afghanistan? Do you think Al Qaeda is unaware that they are stronger now than they have been since 2001? Do you really think they have to wait to read the newpapers to see how they're doing? That is utterly ridiculous.
They know all this already, but now that this information has been publicized everybody else knows it, too. Naturally the Powers That Be don't want this information made public because then it becomes obvious that their "strategy" isn't working.
Part of the foundation of any democracy is an informed public. If people do not know what is happening they cannot make intelligent decisions. Just because certain information might be embarrassing to a president or a prime minister is no reason to keep it secret.
And before you get your nose out of joint, I'm not advocating for the government letting us in on all their precious secrets. But when they have spent thousands of lives and billions of dollars on a course of action that isn't working, we need to know about it. I assure you the other side knows this already.

It made you click on the link to it, didn't it? :-) It's all about what gets readers attention.
The actual idea of the Taliban growing stronger is a relative term. They were almost non-existant, and now they have a few small battles. Sure this is "stronger" than they were a few months ago, but still insignificant.

it incredibly relies upon on what the Pakistani government decides to do. previous few years they did no longer touch the mountain section and it became into despite is going on up there flow away it. Now that we understand a great style of Taliban memebers are there, the Pakistani military in on the flow to kick them out. in the event that they'd a minimum of flush them into Afghanistan we are going to preserve them from there.

I agree with you... the media will do anything to get ratings! It isn't about the news anymore..it is about hype, drama or what ever else it will take to keep you on their station! I personally am sick of it and partially hold responsible the 24 hour news channels-the Internet and "us". Because as "us" the consumers we are the ones tuning in and turning on to all they have to offer...

Your absolutely right. Like all things...Americans prefer to be lied to and left in the dark. You hit the nail on the head and this is why we are stuck in Iraq today.
The media should only report on what the government wants them, let the public think that all is OK and that we are all doing well, safe and sound thanks to baby Bush.
And YES, you are crazy....certifable even!!

Yeah, I agree, I think that this probably has to be said so that when something else major happens we can't say that we weren't warned!
Kind of warning us that maybe there's not a lot our government can do aginst these idiots!
