The procedure for the attestation of education certificates is firstly get attested by the Notary Public, preferably from your area, and then contact Ministries of Education, Human Resources and Foreign Affairs (of India) for their attestations. Once you have done all these formalities, you can contact the UAE embassy or Consulate for further attestation.

Your presence is not mandatory to complete the formalities. I would suggest you to contact any travel agents based in Kerala to save your time. I hope they will assist you on this regard.

Good luck

If you have the original certificates with you, then I do not think you need to go to Kerala. Attestation by any authorized person is valid for whole of India.
