Unfortunately, the internet is overrun with scam artists offering people loans. You should assume that anyone offering you a loan is a scam artist until proven otherwise. Remember that real lenders never ask for an advance fee. Any fees they require are added to the loan amount, you never pay for them upfront. If you pay an advance fee, they will take your money and run. Never give personal information to someone who may be an identity thief.

See this link about scam artists:

1) No legit lender requires a fee upfont.

2) No legit lender as a generic email address (ie Yahoo.com)

3) No legit lender trolls Yahoo!Answers looking for business.

There are probably a million Mr. Jacksons out there, so unless it's Michael we need more information.

I would be very careful on something like this. I would call your local police department and ask where to go to find out if he is legit. Best of luck.

In this day & age, I'd be leery of anyone with the last name of Jackson.
