Hi Angel,,that's probly going to be tough to get in any useful format,,,especially from anyone here.

You might get the O.D.,,,spline count, and length of the spline,,
But things like spline depth and pitch are beyond most folks ability to measure.

Harley never parts with engineering drawings & details,,,so it's unlikely any are floating around to copy.

I'm just taking a guess your friend is wanting to make "Forward Controls" or some similar project.,,custom lever, etc

They probably already know this,I'm sure........
But the best bet is going to be to Obtain an actual Shifter Shaft for the models they're wanting to pattern.

Ultimately, they'll need one for test/trial fit---I would think?

It's POSSIBLE to find small shoppes who'll Loan such parts for "Measuring" purposes.
They may require a refundable deposit,,,or greasing the part's guy's palm a Pint's- worth or 2,,LOL.
Some Dealers will also co-operate.

"Worst Case",,,you can always BUY the part and then return it for refund.
Make CERTAIN of Refund/Return policy,,,,
and keep in mind most places Do NOT refund on "Special Order Parts".....they'll accept Returns only on items they Normally stock in their inventory.

Just some suggestions,,,Not really an "Answer".
I'd be VERY surprised if You can find the Complete & Detailed info You need.
Beyond H-D's normal "secrecy" ,,,,that's a VERY Obscure part as far as engineering details.

Normal Machining Specs for parts related to routine Repair/Rebuild operations are readily available.

But outside of that almost Nothing is.

Maybe I'm wrong,,or Maybe You'll get lucky.
Either way,,it never hurts to ask :)

Good Luck,,,and I hope the project comes out nice

checked mine, both have 1/2" o.d. shaft with more splines than I care to count at least 25.or 30 & the notch for the 1/4" lock bolt is 5/16 to the center of the notch from the end of the shaft. if he makes the lever from aluminum with a good lock bolt ( maybe 5/16) he can probably clamp it tight enough that he wont need splines.

i don't understand approximately looking previous. Unkempt possibly. Like reported above, lots i understand experience to Sturgis and different rallies. lots additionally stay at campgrounds as nicely for the events. no longer each and every person care approximately being elegance queens and making particular we Armor-All our leathers like different varieties of riders. Sturgis, as nicely as lots greater different rallies are greater Harley based and not a fashion instruct. Plus, with age, your tastes refine. :) as far as undesirable, lmao, i understand of too many USED Harleys that would desire to pay for 2 or 3 different varieties of motorcycles. Plus, in the event that they have been undesirable, why do greater cities attempt have the unkempt Harley rallies over the sport motorbike ones? $$ and tourism... era. There are further and extra previous and youthful specialists figuring out to purchase Harleys according to annum. surely no longer all hard center bikers or perhaps "Rolex" riders. yet you do could have the skill to deal with to pay for the Harley call.
