Remedial massage is to get you out of trouble and erotic massage is to get you into trouble (in a light vein).
Any massage intended to help you relax, or to reduce muscle pain etc. is remedial.

remedial does not do any credit to how you feel afterwards, I have done those at a clinic and they feel great.
Erotic massages, done by my best friend (she is Phillipino) does so much more, I almost fall in love with her after she is finished, she has hands of magic. My husband also does erotic massages, and they make way for great sex encounters with him. It gets me in the mood more than anything else in the world......

The technique between the two is quite different. You don't get aroused by a remedial massage because it is focused on the muscles and is a much deeper touch.
