If you care for your computer, use a good firewall, good anti-virus, and make sure you have no spyware, then you're safe. Also, make sure you don't fall for "fake" emails threatening your acct. Good common sense helps. Also, if you're asking this question, I'd suggest some computer classes for your own peace of mind as well.

I've been banking on-line since 1983 (Chemical Bank [now Chase], using their PRONTO system). It is not "risky". If it was, the banks would have never gotten so successful with it. The news would be blaring stories every day.

Read the financial press articles on it, MONEY Magazine, Kiplingers, Smart Money, etc. On line Banking is a regular, normal, safe as checks (if not more safe).
