Guy down the hall. Seems he does something a little more harmful than P&S for his surfing.

Ha. This is a great question. While it seems like someone else is always influencing our life, hence our dramas.... in reality it is our own drama. We have the power to choose our drama. So ever time we have bad things happen to us - i.e ...a boyfriend cheats, a friend is unsupportive, a boss is nasty and egotistical,.... we need to remember that we had choices to make, and we made the choice to "date the cheater" or "rely on the wrong friend" or "accept /remain in a job that's below our personal standards." Did we not pay attention to clues or signs that the guy might not live up to our standards, or we ignored the fact that our friend has been self-absorbed for eons, or that we are too selfish to leave the job because the pay is great......
I think when we wake up and start making observations around us, observations that become part & parcel to our every day decision making process, we become co-creators in the outcomes.... not just players.
So, to answer your question....after four years of enduring the most traumatic-dramatic life experience, out of therapy I emerge with this concept and have to say - Its all about you. Never about the other. Because you and only you can co-create your life. That's where we get our "power back," and hand in our "victim badge." It's hard to see it at first, so but once you do you will feel amazing.
