Recent catalogue of West Midlands Police intimidation involving sexual threats, detentions, threats to publicans and interrogation.

• BNP branch meeting at Drake’s Drum public house secretly filmed by West Midlands Police who had set up an observation team in an opposite college.

• South Birmingham BNP organiser arrested at 6am in the morning for distributing “Margaret – I wish I could seek asylum” leaflets. His house was searched in front of his children and he was held at a local police station for several hours. He is currently in the process of seeking compensation.

• BNP campaign van stopped several times by West Midlands Police during the local election campaign. Occupants were threatened with arrest for inciting racial hatred for playing “Rule Britannia” and asked where BNP meetings were held.

All of these are very real and people are pursuing claims against the police.
Realpolitik: High hopes if they get anything.

BNP supporter or avid opponent or ultra Marxist- all are entitled to their views and support whomever they choose as long as it's all legal- correct?

Surely even the most vehement immigration proponent would argue this is highly irregular State political intimidation?

Is Labour that scared of loosing votes in the West Midlands?

highly irregular state political intimidation,I think not just standard state abuse of the letter of the law rather than the spirit(long dead)+Asian officer threatening to rape bnp member sounds like individual power abuse/payback than state policy

Do you live in the West Midlands? A certain member of the W.mids police force is a racist cow, racist against non white people though.. I think if they want to employ other races they need to be rid of her, it's well known that she's racist and does everything in her power to make non white police officers look bad.. Secondly, they need to employ people from different races, most of the force are white. People from other races don't want a white police officer dealing with an issue such as racism. Same as women don't always want a male dealing with an issue they have. The force need a fair representation which they do not have. I have little respect for West Mids police, they're corrupt w*nkers who stop the good police officers (there are a few) doing their job & helping others. EDIT: If you mean in regards to them recruiting, I think a lot of people don't join the police due to the fact there is racism in the force, same for sexism. They need to make it more accessible. For the racism in the force, it will always be an issue. They don't follow the law.. look at that lad who was knocked over & killed by a WMids officer, he's not being charged with his death... Racism will always rear it's ugly head in society & unfortunately with racist police officers, it's never going to go away but with police officers from different races, I think you will get a positive change & people would be more likely to turn to the police rather than suffer racism in silence.

I think some police forces have a lot to answer for. They think that they are above the law and bring shame to other forces.
I would like to see a system of complaint set up where individual police who are not racist or corrupt are free to report any behaviour that they think is wrong along with the public who feel abused by any officer.these reports would be put before a public committee who would act after several reports had been made and order an investigation and the sacking of those police who are not working in the interest of the public. The police do a very difficult job, but so do ambulance drivers, firemen and many other professionals.
There is no excuse for doing your job badly and getting public money for it.

Don't like the BNP but deplore the governments tactics in trying to stop them taking part in the democratic process! Regardless of the message, they have every right to stand at any election they see fit

Because they hate the indigenous white population?

Ignore all the other flames you are going to get on here, most of these people are so brainwashed by television they actually think it's a good thing to have a mixed-race relationship!

In a *true* democracy you must let people have their own views, no matter how abhorrent you find them. It's funny how we seem to allow the radical muslims to have theirs...

Because they, along with many in the south, think they can ignore civil rights because they hate mexicans and jews and gays. However, not everyone in the south thinks that way.
