there are in my outside trashcan by the hundreds.what can i use to kill them.i have sevin dust for my veggies,can i use that

They would have to ingest it. Why don't you spray with "Raid" then clean the trash can out. I scrub mine once a week as a weekly duty for household hygiene. You won't have this problem.

They will soon turn into flies and fly away. i would just set the can way from your house for a few days or wash the maggots away with a hose. Killing them only has value if you want to bring your can back into your area with them in it. It is amazing how a few flies can lay eggs in your garbage and make such a disgusting mess
