There's no general or standard answer to your question. Traditionally in eastern India, the ground floor fetches the max. price, while in northern India its the first floor. In posh high rise apartments, the top floor is usually a condominium which always have a premium attached to it - like in cases like Mumbai. So, depending on the prevailing preferences and market behaviour in the city that you are planning to buy a property, you need to make an informed decision.

Sounds as if you are intending to purchase a Condo unit and rent it out. The most important things are location, Condo structure (how it was built (were there any shortcuts and substandard materials and practices used) Condo Fees, Condo building upkeep, and market.

Do a search on the builder, sub trades and owner(s) of the condo for their track record. Have any of them had major infractions brought against them?

what do you mean by "get more rent later"? are you the landlord or the tenant? are you referring to saving the most money in the long run?
