This is my 7th month of TTC..I have a regular 28 day cycle, and have sex on my ovulation days..that is,from days 13 onwards.Just before my periods come,i have pain and swelling on both my breasts(days 23 -28).So when i start to feel breast pain,i always get dissappointed because i know my period is on its way... So my question is.. Is my breast pain a definite sign that my period is looming ahead, or can i still hope that i could be pregnant despite the breast pain? Will seek medical attention if I don't get pregnant after a year. Also, to those that have chidren after a year or so of trying, did you seek medical attention?..or did it just come naturally?..

From having talked to friends who have gotten pregnant breast tenderness and pain can also mean that she might be pregnant in addition to the period coming.

As for seeking medical attention I would recommend going ahead and talking to your doctor now about the possibility of hormone imbalances being a reason for not being able to conceive. Certain hormone conditions such as with the thyroid for example can affect a woman's being able to get a pregnant.

Please check with your doctor to see what they say.

breast tenderness is one of the first signs of pregnancy so you could be.

try not to turn sex into a chore or a means to an end. if you do this then the both of you will just become stressed into feeling useless because you are only doing it to conceive. be spontaneous instead of only having sex when your ovulatin. try having sex more on these days but dont do it purposely. Most women try and try then when they stop and go back to normal activities to give themselves a break from the stresses and strains of TTC the discover they are pregnant after a brief amount of time (provided there arent any medical issues)

it will happen when you least expect it because the both of you will be relaxed. this way conception is easier because of less stress hormones. If stress can delay periods, it can delay pregnancy for sure!

I would advise you to have a bit more sex, not every day though, every other day is fine!!!

Breast pain is a signal of hormone changes, whether due to your period coming or pregnancy. I have never tried to conceive but I have read that if you just relax and go with the (pardon the pun) flow you will conceive with time. Try to relax, trust your body and let mother nature do her work. Good Luck!!!!
