i have to undergo a major operation beginning of this year, right after I registered my marriage coz a huge tumour growing from my pancreas. It was all very sudden and no one ever suspected anything was wrong with me. it was very traumatic and I don't even have time to react to the piece of news. I have always been healthy and this is the first time that I was having an operation and so weak so I was already bleeding internally. It make me realise that life is unpredictable and things can happen anywhere and anytime. I don;t take things for granted and try to live my life to the fullest.

Surviving an Amtrak train crash that killed 15 people, having to sign my child away to adoptive parents when I was 23, losing two more babies through miscarriage and being a caregiver for my Mom during the last 5 years of her life, I'm not really sure whether I am stronger for all that. My attitude really is s*** happens. Make the best of it and get on with your life.

I had an older sister (2 years older) born with hydracephalis so her brain was squished and she lived till the age of eighteen with only a brain stem, in a home.

My mother has a mental illness (bipolar) and slit my throat ear to ear when I was two and a half.

I was homeschooled for 8 years by my mother.

My mother kidnapped my when I was 12 and took me across the country.

Those are just the big things.

Yes, it did toughen me up.

-Almost drowning, thanks to someone
-3 robberies, 1 including guns when I was 7.
-My mom almost dying when I was 12
-A "friend" saying she wanted to push me in front of a car so I would be killed
-Having 2 stalkers
-Being cheated on, twice
-My boyfriend almost being killed (gun held to his head) because a guy from his past wanted revenge for something my bf's old friend did. And also when he was stabbed. Still don't know who did it
-Getting into a physical fight with a guy who claimed to care about me
-Backstabbing friends, which I'm sure has happened to just about everyone

Just to name a few
