I can't be a Mam so I'll never be a Grandma.
But my parents used to say that there was no feeling like it on earth. All the fun and none of the responsibility.
I suppose I could say the same being an aunt but being the parents' younger sister, if I do something they don't like, they don't have hesitation telling me so whereas they'd think twice with the offenders being their parents.
Actually, that hasn't happened very much because I have always told the bairns that as far as I'm concerned, parents' word is law .... I try never to go against what the parents want.

What makes you think we are all old enough to be grandparents and some older ones have no family?

The girl in the office said to tell You that She was 32. She was 16 when She had Sally. Sally was only 14 when She had Kyle. Makes one wonder about contraception, doesn't it? She felt "old".

50 + 7 days.
It was glorious.
She took after me. She had all my best qualities and none of my neuroses.
Unfortunately, we lost her when she was 3 1/2 from cancer.
I still miss her. She brightened up everyone's life when she was here.

ahh yes, I remember it well, I was 7 years old, my baby tiny tears had a baby of its own, a tiny tiny doll, bless lol. it made me feel so old, and so worried, i mean, Little tiny tears was still a baby herself, how was she to cope with a baby?
tragically, we'll never know, tiny tears fell victim to my younger sister, she was left in the street for 4 days, there was nothing I could do, she was gone *sniffles*. then, several years later, we moved, and tiny tears Jr was left behind, I blame myself!
