For anything in particular. All things considered, which is the best place to visit ? Cities, rural life, people , everything.

In my opinion, the best place in the UK is the Western Highlands of Scotland. Whether you go to the cities such as Inverness or prefer the wild open country is up to you.
I am biased though, as I live near Loch Ness, but I don't think you'd find many people who disagree.
I should add that the people are the friendliest you could ever wish to meet, unlike those in southern England. Give that area a wide berth.

There isn't a best, really all are different and each has the strengths.

I do really love Northern Ireland-it's a UK that has not yet been despoiled.

Scotland- not yet been to aside from
Glasgow and Edinburgh- but people are fantastic as is the architecture.

Wales- has amazing castles built by King Edward I.

England- many gorgeous little villages and smaller towns. I live in Bath, Somerset which after living in London is almost a paradise. Lovely old buildings, Somerset has fantastic English food and culture still.

London- lots of social problems, too many ethnics, bit grubby- but plenty of historic places to visit and problably bets set up as the tourist destination.

I recommend Brighton too, Bristol is a nice city, Liverpool pretty good, Manchester too. York is fantastic if you'd like to see medieval buildings.

It depends what you're after really.

I've visiting all of the countries and by far the friendliest, where the people take a genuine interest in you, is the republic or northern ireland ...but Rural Scotland is nice too..

I live in central Scotland and I wouldn't choose to visit anywhere north or south of where I am, I don't like green fields and museums, although the Scottish and Irish people are the friendliest. Depending what time of year it would be - September to May is usually cold in Scotland and Ireland, England is slightly warmer, I would suggest somewhere in Europe, Spain, Italy etc.

Republic of Ireland. Largely rural population outside of Dublin, great people (bit bonkers but hey), more history and prehistory than you can shake a stick at, and weather to make your holiday particularly memorable.

Not for the faint-hearted, so. I'M DARING YOU .....

All these countries have their beauty.
I'm in South Wales. You'll get a warm welcome here.Plenty of outdoor pursuit centres, castles to visit, mountains to climb, good food and beer.Stunning beaches like The Gower.
It really depends on what you want from a holiday.
