i have heard of a number #3 pencil but there from the dollar store and not very good to write with...

#1 is weak as higher the # as harder the mine from the pencil draven is right with his answer!

it is just like life you start at one and you never know what your ending number..?
the more you get the less you kept.
so 1 is nice and soft 3 is dark and Rufe .
