Well, since the question is what does it "feel like" to die --- one can only state that THAT depends vastly on the WAY in which you die !! There are thousands of ways that this happens to people and each of them -- I am sure have their own distinct "feeling" attached !!
Now, if the question would have been -- what is it like to be DEAD -- that would be a whole different ballgame !! There is a somewhat certain assumation that there would be no "feeling" (psyhical that is) attached to THIS !! Even though there are a ton of people who "swear" that they have "been there -- done that" and attach a lot of "feelings" to the experience !!

Back to the original question -- the "feeling" of dying -- I would imagine -- the "feeling" of dying by way of drowning is considerably different from the "feeling" of dying by way of having something extremely large drop straight down your gullet !! And, the "feeling" of dying by way of long term wasting away would be somewhat different from the "feelling" associated with a bullet through your brain !!

With being DEAD however -- they say that THAT starts with this "tunnel of light" thing -- and ________

You will feel your body weakening and your soul already stretching out into the other world. You might already be able to see helpers from the beyond waiting for you. In the process of dying they already help you to make this transition more easy.
Then you slip out of your body and you most likely in the beginning see your body from the outside. Helpers from the beyond will guide you further.
When my grandma died ( I was just on a holiday with my son who turned one at this day) I had this visions, without knowing that my grandma was on her deathbed. I saw that in a vision what i just told you here. My parents gave me a ring after that to inform me that grandma just past away.
I believe it is like that. Read the books about Raymond Moody. Never read them myself, but he actually gives many insights how this is if you die.

Nobody really knows, but those who go through near-death experiences can describe either the light on the end of the tunnel of life, or some of them state that they feel at peace, that they aren't frightened.

I, myself, have never really felt what it's like to die, and I do not wish to feel it anytime soon until my life is complete and accomplished.
Perhaps I will find peace near my death, and perhaps, both experiences of the light at the end of the tunnel and the feeling of true peace, but we will never know until the day comes.

Exact answer? Yes no one knows because you can't express your feelings exactly unless you experience something personally.
To me:
at occasions body reaches a state where it becomes difficult for soul to stay anymore and soul tries to get rid of the body. More the soul feels difficulty in staying harder it tries to leave the body. These occasions may be of a severe pain or grief etc. So it is a painful struggle of soul to get relief.

You have to go to Yahoo Answer for the Dead to get a good answer to this question. Unfortunately nobody ever comes back to tell us. So it must be very good and the dead are keeping it all to themselves. Oh well, I am in no hurry to find out.

it feels normal... unless you get hit by a car, or fell off a cliff.
none to pleasant if you were stabbed, shot, or raped to death.

but if it was death in sleep, when you wake up, you'll see your body laying there. and all you can think of is all the things you missed out on, all the goodbyes left unsaid, all the wrongs we've committed and not made up for, and all the porno tapes we haven't returned and our family is going to get the over due bill with late fees for "wild monkey drunken orgy 5".

Nobody could answer that question because nobody can speak while dead. Sorry, when you die you'll find out though.

after you die, fells a lot like before your born. think about a time, before you were born, and thats what it will be like. once your spark is extinguished, you lose mind to think with, once you lose mind to think with, you return to the natural state of the universe. entropy is king
