Can anybody tell me the function how to convert numeric value in text for m.s. excel in ref cell.

Select the cell that has the value you want to convert to text, right-click and select Formatting (or hit CTRL+1). In the first tab, select text from the list.

The function is Value(....), where(....) is the cell reference. It may be necessary to "massage" the text using the text functions to limit the text string you are evaluating to retrieve the correct value.

Type the formula in a cell
=TEXT(A2,"General")
where A2 is the cell containg numeric value.
