and you jump through it what would happen? would you keep falling forever, or fall back down when you get to the middle, or is it physically impossible?

Okay two reason's why this is impossible. (1) If you jump throungh the hole you would hit water and drown. (2) If you managed to get through the water without drowning you would hit the core then melt then 2 seconds later. Die.

Okay that should sum it up.

If You were to parachute from the surface it would take You approximately 34 hours of 'free fall' to reach the centre of the earth. Both gravity and enertia would effect Your landing You would slide past the core and travel part of the way back up on the other side, then be drawn back to the center.

assuming you don't melt age's before getting "to the middle", you would "fall" slower and slower, and just go a little further than the middle ( cynetics energy ), then fall back the other side, etc.. ) and finally get stuck in the middle.
