Well, BC is the best in North America, so Washington State because it's the closest to BC, although not nearly as beautiful in the sense of Nature and geography. I have been to 42 states and Washingon DC, 9 provinces, 2 Canadian Territories and mexico, so I have North America covered pretty well. The second best state would be the other side of BC, Alaska, and it would be the best if not for its wicked winters. I also liked Sothern Utah and Arizona for its desolate and geological beauty including Zion park and the Grand Canyon, California for it's coast line and Wyoming for Yellowston Park. I also really liked the Canadian Badlands in Alberta, there is a great museum of prehistory in Drumheller. I also really liked the Baja in Mexico, but I went there before tourism exploited it and I hear that it isn't worth it anymore. That pretty much covers the highlights of North America. My favourite cities in North America are 1) Victoria BC 2) Quebec City QC 3) Vancouver BC 4) Ottawa ON 5) NY CITY NY 6) Montreal QC. I'm not really that into really BIG cities, but there is something special about Vancouver, New York and Montreal. Victoria, Quebec city and Ottawa are very small cities and I just love the feel and culture of them!

I live in Ontario,Canada and must confess I have only been to Ohio and to Florida. I really enjoyed Florida because the people we met were so friendly.Of course the usual tourist attractions were amazing. At our hotel we met a family from Brazil and spent some time with them.We even kept in touch for some time after.I don't know if I could take the heat all the time though.I had an aunt who lived in Louisville,Kentucky but I never made it there. She had on occassion visited our family.I thought I would like to see the Grand Canyon just to take in how majestic it is.I also wondered what it would feel like to walk up and down the steep hills of San Fransisco .It might sound silly but I wondered if I'd have any control over my speed on the way down.So just curious, what is your favourite state and where would you like to go? Take care.

California b/c it has the most variety out of any state and it has the best climate in parts in all of North America. YOu have it all here; mountains, deserts, lakes, rivers, cold foggy beaches, warm sunny beaches, redwood forests, farmland, and some of the most spectacular scenery in the US. Yosemite, Big Sur coast, Northern CA coast, Southern CA coast, ect...
And it has some of the best and most popular cities in the US and they are all diffeferent and unqiue in their own way. SF is a beautiful, urban, and very unique city. LA is an incredibly diverse and lively city with so much to do. And San Diego has the best beaches and best weather and there are tons of things to do there all the time. And there are so many great places just outside the big cities to visit like Napa and the wine country, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Monterey, and Vegas and Mexico are real close to Southern CA.
We also grow much of the nation's produce and livestock and are the number one agricultural state in the nation. CA would be the world's 7th largest economy by itself.
CA isn't perfect but no place on earth really is. There are so many people here and we have problems associated with that and the cost of housing is very high. But it's all worth it b/c it's such a great and diverse state with so much to do and see. People like to rag on CA b/c it the biggest and best state, but I am glad I was born and raised here.

Cali because of exactly what Sav said, but i don't wanna write it all again! It has diverse people as well, and we have the beaches, the deserts, the valleys, mountains, and snow in the mountains so we can see it all close by! Also it's dry here, not HUMID. It's very rare that it gets humid. It doesn't rain too much either (even though we need it sometimes). It's sunny the majority of the time which equals happy people. Also, the biggest trees in the world reside here, as well as the tallest mountain in the US. And then you can't beat Hollywood!

California, without a doubt! We have everything, climate, beaches, mountains, (and earthquakes) All kidding aside, I was born in Chicago, but grew up here and wouldn't live anywhere else. Oh yeah, there's jobs too!
