I've read both questions and I have to tell you I feel for you. I haven't lost my father and I can't imagine how that must hurt. The fact your dad took his own life only makes it worse. I understand that it is painful it is to see Andy and his son together. I cannot understand how painful it is though. It is somthing that somone has to experience to understand. But that's not your question. Your first question is can you call the cops. Sure you can. Your next question is can you get his dad arrested for giving him a beer. Probably not. You also want to know if police will take his dad's side. Probably not. They'll take the sailor's side. Many police are former military and miltary always has the back of other military. Even if they're not former military themsleves, they have a great deal of respect of the military because the military puts their *** on the line to serve others just like they do. They might talk to him, but an arrest is a long shot. Then you want to know how much time they'l get if they do get arrested. Well, Nathan, that's kind of a moot point since nobody's going to get arrested in all probability. Even if they do arrest Andy and/or his son, before they get "time" a prosecutor has to decide he's going to prosecute the case. This probably won't happen. But even if it does, before either gets any time, they have to have a grand jury indict them. This is another big if. Most people wouldn't begrudge a servinceman one beer in the presence of his father. If you're old enough to serve, you're old enough to drink. Then if the grand jury indicts them, they have to stand trial and a jury has to convict them. And even if they return a verdict, it's probably a misdermeanor and they won't get much time. That all assumes that it is illegal to drink with parental consent under 21. THat's not always the case. Some states have exempt children from drinking away from bars and restaurants with parental permission. Now is the time to manup.

I realize Parents may have undying affection for their kids, but that doesn't mean they are totally exempt from wrong, especially about things they refuse to listen to... \
In fact, many parents are child abusers and not a few children end up dead or maimed, yes by their parents.
And you see all these Black people around? Well, back in slave days. guess who some of them called "Dad". Yes, "Massa" many times was also their dad, but it didn't spare them a life in the fields, or the whipping post. In fact it happened so often that Africans now do not consider American Blacks "Black".
Don't tell me parents are automatically blameless, just because they are your folks...

Sometimes I get angry and think I hate my mom.
But as a young 12 year old girl I understand.
ALOT.
I always cry at night hoping my parents won't die because look what all they done for us ? they only want the better and yet I yell at them and want more. I feel guilty and regretful and no one understands, not even my stupid snobby-rich friends. I will always love my mom n dad but I always end up hurting them IM me or Email me, tell me your story.

I started hating my dad around 8 eight years old because he always laughed at me, called me a parasite, challenged me to fist fights, called me a ****** for no reason at all and worse. I decided to stop talking to him at all.
He has changed now (mainly because i dont take any crap from him anymore) I talk to him sometimes but i'm already used to the hate. There is no way to reverse the process.

i have gone through the same feeling, but i never say it to their face that i "hate" them. i am still a teenager and i get the "i hate my parents feeling" sometimes(when my parents really get on my nerves)...but its normal. we all go through this. at the end of the day when i chill out, i realize that i do my parents a lot and i admit that i still need them...i would be lost without them. i am who i am because of them. i am proud of my parents!!

I'm sorry, but I HATE them & can care less about if they die or not because they tried to ruin my life & kill me, & when I need help, they just sit there & MAKE me suffer. But I feel sorry for your dad. BTW, I'm a twin too.
