I got so used to talking to him on the computer that I didn't realize his actual physical presence was sitting in the chair next to me. Is there a name for this?

Oh, I know what you mean, can think of the actual name for it--had it happen to me. I have a friend that I have known for about a year and a half, we never met until this past month-as he is my friend's bf. So, when I met him, it was so weird --I still couldn't believe that he was actually talking to me in person, not via aim or phone, it was so surreal-it was great though; yet kind of awkward because we actually met, face to face -but as the day grew ; so did we!
