You're probably looking at saving about 3-5 mpg by not using your AC.

First not using your a/c will only save you gas during the times that you would normally need to use it so you can't expect to annualize the savings. I would agree on that car 3 to 5 MPG maybe. However if you roll the windows down to help cool then the MPG savings will decline unless you are driving in slow city traffic. If you figure you drive 15K a year and your Accord get 30 MPG you are only using 500 gallons of gas a year so if you save 5% that's only 25 gallons if you used it 100% of the time. $80 to not be comfortable isn't much to a save in a year when that's your max savings.

I read an article some time ago that claimed that you save gas by using your a/c and keeping your window closed. (more streamlined)

So yes you do use more gas with the a/c on than when its off, but not much and you will be much more comfortable with a/c

You wouldnt save much if anything. At highway speeds the drag caused by having your windows open would use just about as much gas.

By not having the drag of the compressor, you will save gas. How much, depends on your driving habits.

Yes as long as you still drive around with your windows closed, otherwise the turbulence will cause aerodynamic drag that will offset your savings.
