The divide has always been there. But even under Reagan it was more "We're right, they're wrong."
Under Bush it's, "We're right, they are unpatriotic and evil"

As a legitimate third party (Iibertarian), what I've seen is that the liberals are solely responsible for the divisiveness.
Sandy Berger versus Scooter Libby, who really committed a crime?
Trent Lott versus Jesse Jackson, who's the real racist?
George Bush versus Nancy Pelosi, who really overstepped their Constitutional authority?

And if you listen to the liberals, you'll feel guilty for not using flourescent light bulbs, not buying a Prius, eating meat, celebrating Christmas, not bothering to watch any movie produced by Michael Moore or featuring Al Gore, not wanting to pay more taxes...
And who are these weak-minded ones to whom you refer?

I rather think what you describe is the work of the father of all lies. He teaches the Democrats to defend and advocate evil. He teaches them to hate and to ridicule those who wish to promote good, prosperity and freedom across the planet. Fighting against evil is not evil. All that is needed for evil to win is for good men to do nothing.

Honey, one half of America has always hated the other half for one reason or another. It shows itself quite prominently on Superbowl Sunday and whenever the Yankees play the Red Sox.

That rat Rove should be tarred and feathered. He's a Benedict Arnold who sold out his country just to keep the Retardicans in power.
United We Stand, Divided Bush gets to run America into the dirt, while Exxon and Halliburton make record profits.
