Here's my proof: despite the obvious evidence in the previous six books, my dad has a PhD in philosophy and told me so (he's read the first four books), and yesterday I saw two trees growing together and they looked like Harry and Voldemort shaking hands and smiling.

I think that is very cool. They can be evil together. Kind of like Dr Evil and his son Scott Evil. Pax - C

Actually, it can't happen since Voldemort doesn't understand the concept of LOVE. And is pure evil, if Dumbledore, who is said to think the best of everyone, never quite trusted him... And Harry does have love, not to mention Harry can never be best friends with the person who killed his parents, among other things. I don't think Voldemort will redeem himself. Do you? Do you UNDERSTAND what Voldemort IS? He wants power, and isn't the kind of person to care for others. (and you don't have much proof, put something that's actual proof and I'll consider it)

And the part about the trees is a little creepy...

Rowling has said that all characters except for Voldemort are redeemable in the series. So they will not be best friends.

Yeah, they'll probably hug, make up with each other, go out and have a few beers at a pub, wave wands at the muggles for fun to turn them into toads, and go off and live together happily ever after. (Heck, why not, there are enough other crack-pot ideas floating around here).
