I have an Dell optiplex GX270 ( the biggest one) that can hold 4 GB of RAM. I want to have 4 GB of RAM, I only have 1 GB of RAM. I want to know what type of RAM could fit into an Dell optiplex GX270, where could I buy 4 GB, and how much would it cost.

It's a RAM manufacturer. They have a system scanner that will tell you how much you can upgrade to, what RAM is compatible for your computer and the cost. They are the leader in RAM as far as quality goes.

One thing I should mention, if you have Windows XP, the operating system is only designed to work with up to 3GB of RAM. If you have XP, it won't use 1 GB if you upgrade to 4. So don't bother buying more than 3 GB. However, if you have Vista, no problem.

That system scanner will tell you how much your motherboard will allow you to upgrade to, but keep in mind the operating system limitations mentioned above.
