I am a huge sports fan, mostly in football. This kills me when sports stars break the law, like drugs or getting aressted for drinking and driving or over the legal limit. In my thoughts they should be out of the leage for good. These people are role models to kids. So how is it ok when they mess up so badly that they can keep playing. What is this showing to kids? That it is ok when you are a sports star you can break the law? It's wrong and degrading to the youth. A great example is Michele Vick from the Alatlanta Falcons was just caught sponsering dog fighting. He may get 6 years in jail but he has the money to get out on bail. Plus the NFL hasnt said yet what will happen to his carrer. Yet this is just started. But for instance if any football player is caught with steroids they end up getting suspended for a few games. Also like in baseball where steroids are legal. Do you agree with me or not? Whats your opinion?

It would be nice to punish people for their actions, but the leagues are usually restrained because of the right of the players' unions. Like any union, they're designed to protect their members from being treated unfairly, even though that can be frustrating to us at times as fans.

As for Vick, it's too early to say much. I'm not sure what the evidence is against him at this point. But, if it turns out to be serious, then you can rest assured that Roger Goodell will take action as he did against guys like Pacman, Tank Johnson and Chris Henry. I'd like to know more about the federal case before I say much about it.

As for steroids in baseball, they are now banned substances, as is HGH and testoserone. The problem is that baseball turned a blind eye to the problem for several years, thereby creating a bit of a drug culture within the game and losing the trust of a now-suspicious fan base.
