I am going to this scrapbook convention. We chose "sweet and sassy" as our theme for our group of 10. We each picked a candy - Hershey's Kiss, Butterfinger, Peppermint Patty, Jelly Bean, etc. We want to stand out from all the other groups because last time we were unprepared. Our colors are hot pink and lime green. Any suggestions on what we can make? I thought about a candy wreath, but have nowhere to hang it. I also thought about filling in our banner with candy. Basically, each letter would be a diff. candy. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

I like it ....

Well if you've got a computer I'd try to get transfer paper and blow up the image of the wrappers and do t-shirts ... since scrapbooking is all about personalizing there's an opportunity to do a page on a t-shirt (pics names etc) or perhaps a table banner to match the shirts. If you wanted to do a 2 day project I've done a candy dispenser jar (looks like a gumball machine) get a clay flower pot (upside down) paint it what ever color you like, glue a glass bowl on top. paint a clay flower pot tray (that fits the top of bowl) and glue a wooden knob on top (I prefer to drill through tray and put a screw into the knob for security) then you could decorate the jar and even through in the candies of choice (now you have a little snack besides) ... or take a candy dish and styrofoam and attach candies and make a sign on a stick that stands up from the little table display. Oh I could go on but I've taken enough room up on this ... Good Luck and Enjoy !!!

Maybe simple and fun, if you wear hats pin or glue wrapped candies to the hats that you can wear. Completely cover the hat or candy jewelry. Glue candy on earring posts, make a candy bracelet and necklace but attaching wrapped candies to ribbon or twine.
Or check this site out for candy decorations to make. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_design_living_area/article/0,1793,HGTV_3376_1382802,00.html

As well as the other suggestions, do you have pins (I think that's what they call them in the US) or badges? You could make yourselves some really funky ones out of hard sweets. Or 'Martian' Alice bands might be fun, with the candies on the end of antennae.

Do you get a table? If so, maybe you could have a swag swooping up and down all around the edge of your table, and wherever the swag comes up, have a candy at that point.
