My house plumbing is with GI mild steel threaded joints pipes of 1" dia reducing to 3/4" tap size. I want to install a pressure pump in the system. I am told that the pump pressure will be 25 to 30psi. Will the threaded joints in my plumbing withstand this pressure ?

Your local library should carry a book called "Code Check" for plumbing. It's a quick reference book....
And yes, it should be fine if you put Teflon tape on the threads.......
When you test the presure you will find out if you have a leak or not.......

My pressure is set at 68 pounds, the bladder at 38 pounds.
My pipes are all one inch and 1/2 inch take off. It's not the pipes you should worry about but, your faucets, the seals, your toilet tank seals, this sort of thing. You might find yourself changing these quite regularly if you pump it up to high.
25 to 30 pounds is rather low. It should be about 45 to 55 pounds, then when you take a shower and someone flushes a toilet, you won't notice it
