If 9.5 is 16 2/3%, then 100% is the answer you're searching for. 100% = 100 times 9.5 and divided 16 2/3, which is 57.

What you need to do is take the number that is given (9.5) multiply that by 100 then divide that by the percent given (16 2/3%) and that will give you your answer

Remember this proportion

(% / 100) = (IS / OF)

Fill in the blanks.

9.5 "IS" ..... 16 2/3 "%" ........ "OF" what
SO

(16 2/3) / 100 = (9.5 /x)

Cross multiply and get (9.5 * 100) = (16 (2/3) * x)
Which gives you x = 57

So 9.5 is 16 2/3% of 57.

there is an easy formula to calculate this type of percentage problems.
the formula is (is)/(of) = (%)/100.
plug the number next to the corresponding words is, of, %.
here the number next to is is 9.5.
the number next to % is 50/3.
the number next to of is what.
hence we have,
9.5 / what = 50/300
simplifying we get
what = 9.5 x 6 = 57.0
