and i installed it and they already have a list of games there but when i load a game to play it says like this

How do you use this emulator?i downloaded it from here and they say i need some 7-zip to extract it

Ok dude IronMask i downloaded the game but i have no idea how to transfer them into the MAME emulator to play.plz edit your answer thank you and the other dude plz tell me where did you download your emulator that work

joshrl wasn't able to do that unless maybe he is using mame gru ver.01 . If you were able to download mame and be able to play any of all the games listed it would take days to download, it take around 15dvds to get it on.
IronMask is more factual.
It seems you are trying to play one of the Street Fighter games. I guess you figured out where to download the rom from. After it is on your computer keep it zipped and place the file in the c:\MAME\roms folder start up mame and press F5 this will refresh you game list. All rom and bios files should be keept zipped and olaced in the roms folder. Also download the NEOGEO bios file here: http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/24120/mame/neogeo.html

If you are having a problem just getting the emulator and the roms then you are going to be here asking for every little thing. How about looking for sights that talk about mame and have forums. I could just tell you every thing (trust me I have answered hundreds of MAME questions) but it will benefit you to look at resolved questions here on answers, and find what others have asked about mame. Hint: Mame comes plane - Command Prompt (DOS) it also comes in in wrappers - MAME32 , MAMEox Rom file are zipped and are to remain zipped. Many games need Rom files and Bios files. More popular newer games require additional files called CHD file and they are large files that need to be in specific folders labeled and with the chd extracted in this folder. I do wish you luck....

Well, if you just downloaded mame and NOTHING ELSE. Then you don't have any games.
You are maybe looking at the WHOLE list of mame games. Go to the tab where it says "Available"
If there is nothing there then you need to download games.

Downloading roms is illegal unless you actually own the game.
