Chamomile tea, sweeten with honey. You can also do a gargle of 1 tsp honey, 1 tsp lemon juice to 1 cup water for sore throat.
I take Vitamin C (500 mg) twice a day, 12 mg to 50 mg of Zinc one per day and 2 capsules Echineacea twice a day.
Take a ginger and Epsom salt bath, just sponge off and go straight to bed. This lowers the triglycerides and allows your body to inhibit any fever or bacteria and you will feel like brand new tomorrow, sleep great too.
Use cough drops that orange flavored with vitamin c and or zinc in them.
Place Vick's vapor rub on chest to help you breath while you sleep and it cuts out the mucus and Flem.
PS: Don't forget to wash it off before going out, because you absorb menthol into your skin, so you would be opened up to much and could get pneumonia. Menthol takes down the inflammation in the bronchial tubes and frees breathing. Also, the dosages of vitamins and Echineacea should only be taken during this time, they are higher than the daily recommended allowance.

Echinacea tea, multivitamins, multiminerals. Dropping a couple drops of Thieves Oil under your tongue and drinking 4-8 oz of water right after the drops. Rubbing White Flower Analgesic Balm on your chest. Active ingredients: Wintergreen, Menthol, Camphor
Inactive ingredients: Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender
Drinking 8 glasses of water.
I do all of these for my colds and for my family too.
Good luck!

Echinachea is really good, but also there is this great herbal remedy called Cold Snap. It is capsules with various herbs. Very beneficial--nothing harmful. (If you begin to take it at the first signs of a cold, its supposed to fend it off)
Another remedy that has natural antibiotics is grapefruit seed extract--very good for you. Good for constipation, as well.
Chicken soup is always good

1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper (powder form) in a cup of boiled water. That'll clear your sinuses, get your blood circulating, and help chase that virus out of your body. :)
