It sure is a lot of fun but then you have to sail almost all year long and no women are on sight. Course the booty may be worth it but I'd just do it one time and then enjoy it on the land with a beautiful someone next to me. ;)

Yes, they actually do. My great great great (keep going) grandfather was a pirate. And he got all the booty. So much so that he was hung for polygamy. True story.

There is a follow on of this entry as Teach won a 'prize' later the same day ( pirate-speak for took a ship ) and the fortunes of him and his crew improved enormously, particularly in the rum department ! I will try to find this and post it here later.
