I am planing on going to Jamaica on July 24 through July 31 and noticed that the weather report stated that it is going to rain pretty much the whole time i'm there. Does anybody know if it is just rains for a couple hours then go away or rain the whole time.

You better leave the coats behind unless you need one to get back home in when you arrive back at the airport. I'd leave the boots behind as well. The weather in Jamaica is either "hot and wet", "hot and dry", "too hot" and "very hot". You need sandals, shorts, shirts, shades, sun tan lotion and a hat. I'd also wear white or light coloured sneakers (I wore a black one a couple years ago and boy were my feet on fire!) Do this and you'll have a good time. Montego Bay is a fantastic place to go to. Have fun!

Mainly convectional rain...Mostly sunshine throughout the day but rains in the afternoon for about an hour or so. Unles there is tropical, depression storm or hurricane, which will cause a few wet days. It's unlikely during this period. Mainly in late august thru to November.

We just got back. We were there 7 days and 3 days it rained all day and the other days it was afternoon showers. The rain brings out the bugs so bring some Off!

I went once around this time and it did rain--but you can still enjoy the sun and all-no worries! It does rain on and off. It's not usually an all day thing. Warning though--mosquitos are killer this time of year--bring plenty of bug blocker if you 're not accustomed to them.

It is reall hot right now but with a few showers over northern and western parishes but its all good. Enjoy your vacation.
